Finalists announced for 2016 M&IT Awards

The shortlisted nominees have been unveiled - with winners set to be revealed at the awards ceremony on 26 February

The finalists for the 2015 M&IT Awards have been named ahead of the awards ceremony on Friday 26 February at Battersea Evolution, London. 

In the running for the Best Intermediary Award, for agencies smaller than 40 employees, are BlueHat Group, First Choice Conference & Events, Planet Pursuits, Principal Global Events, Venues & Events International Ltd and YES (Your Event Solutions).

Banks Sadler, Capita Travel and Events, Conference Care, Grass Roots, NYS Corporate and Zibrant will battle it out to be named Best Intermediary Agency with more than 40 employees.

ACC Liverpool is up for Best UK Conference Centre, along with Celtic Manor Resort, ICC Birmingham, the QEII Centre, Warwick Conferences and Wyboston Lakes.

Shortlisted in the Best Overseas Conference Centre category are Amsterdam RAI, CCIB Barcelona, Dubai World Trade Centre, Estrel Hotel & Convention Center Berlin, Grimaldi Forum Monaco and the Convention Centre Dublin.

Glasgow City Marketing Bureau is bidding to make it a tenth win in a row in the Best UK Convention Bureau category, but will face stiff competition from Convention Edinburgh, Liverpool Convention Bureau, London & Partners, NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau  and Staffordshire Conference Bureau.

Vying to win the Best Overseas Convention Bureau category are Brisbane Marketing, Business Events Canada, Dubai Business Events, Malta Tourism Authority, Monaco Tourist Authority, NYC & Co, Rotterdam Partners, Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau and The Hague Convention Bureau.

Alton Towers Resort, Brighton Dome, Coombe Abbey, the Natural History Museum, the Monastery Manchester and Pines Calyx have all been shortlisted for the Best UK Unusual Venue award, while Sundial Venues' Highgate House and Woodside face competition from Ashridge, The Møller Centre, Warwick Conferences  and Wyboston Lakes in the Best UK Management Training Centre category.

Among the remaining categories are Best Event Provider and Best Food and Beverage Supplier, as well as Best Destination Management Company, Best UK Hotel and Best Overseas Hotel - click here for the full list of finalists.
