YES (Your Event Solutions) Ltd has filed accounts for the year ending March 2012 with pre-tax profits in excess of £300k.

The Halifax-based event management company – gold winner at this year’s M&IT Awards for best intermediary agency with fewer than 40 employees - is winning business on competitive pricing and “a passion for business”, according to CEO Sue Gill.

In 2011 the business invested in expansion with the creation of a business travel department and the addition of a sales and marketing team. “It has paid dividends for us in a number of areas”, said Gill, “We have won new accounts in automotive, pharmaceutical and beauty/cosmetic sectors. However our repeat business is also incredibly strong and we are proud of that.”

YES began as a family operation with Gill and her father in the team but the head count has now increased to 12.

“We had an excellent year in 2012 and we expect 2013 to be even better”, she added. "Our business is not local – we have national, European and global contracts - we offer good value for money because our overheads are lower than some of our competitors.”

The business has a strong balance sheet with net assets of £1.9m and Gill’s target is to triple the size of the business within five years.
