Grass Roots EventCom has recruited three new members of staff to its automotive team, based at the agency’s Marlow office.

Nigel Unwin has joined as automotive practice lead, with Kirsty Beck and Laura King being appointed as project managers. Unwin has more than 20 years of experience in the sector, having started his career with Fiat, before moving on to be a key member of the management team that launched Daewoo into the UK, before that company merged with General Motors. At Kia Motors he held the position of head of events and sponsorship, before becoming marketing and events director at SsangYong. Most recently he was marketing manager UK & ROI for agricultural equipment manufacturer Case New Holland.

Grass Roots EventCom director Warren Hillier, said: “Nigel’s experience in brand management, product launches, promotions, events and travel incentives is a perfect fit with the requirements of our automotive clients. We are very excited that he, Kirsty and Laura have joined to help us build on our good first half to the year.”
