Hampton Medical Conferences introduced e-posters for the first time when it delivered the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) congress last week.

The agency, part of RapierGroup, said the posters amplified the work of the authors, not just creating an excellent delegate experiencing but also extending the life of the posters, with information being preserved on the internet.

The congress, which took place at Birmingham ICC, also saw profits rise by 18 per cent compared to 2013, while also surpassing 2016 targets.

More than 2,500 attendees attended the event and 1,800 abstracts were received, an increase of 400 from 2013.

Other elements included the introduction of the RCOG app, which it said increased interactivity with attendees in a live activity feed, one-to-one messaging and more.

Rob Brazier, MD of Hampton Medical, said: "Working with the RCOG team since 2010 has been such a positive experience and one of continuous improvement. Over the last three congresses we have worked in partnership to create the ultimate event for O&G professionals, with a leading edge scientific programme of global speakers.

Nigel Moore, RCOG marketing director, said: "Working with Hampton Medical we have developed a world-class conference experience for O&G specialists and a global brand that has allowed us to grow and expand the World Congress year after year to the benefit of our members, delegates, exhibitors and the wider objective of the RCOG to ultimately deliver better healthcare for women everywhere."
