Manchester has been named as the next host city for ICCA's UK and Ireland Chapter's annual debate.

The city will welcome about 80 delegates from the association, following a successful pitch from Marketing Manchester and Manchester Central.

Lesley Williams, chair of the UK and Ireland Chapter of ICCA and head of business tourism at Convention Edinburgh, said: "Manchester’s bid was very strong and the location works really well for our members who travel from across the whole of the UK and Ireland to attend the annual debate, the primary event in the chapter calendar. We are looking forward to working with the teams at Manchester Central and Marketing Manchester to create a vibrant event in an exciting destination."

The debate will take place on 8-10 March at Manchester Central and Manchester Town Hall.
