Ignition to spark Volvo staff campaign

Swedish motoring giant appoints Hertfordshire-based agency to deliver training events for staff and retailers

Swedish motoring giant Volvo has appointed Hertfordshire-based agency Ignition to launch two new models to internal staff and dealerships.

The events, being held throughout August, will reach 500 Volvo Cars UK retailers and 100 staff and will include training on the new product.

Ignition, which also has bases in Brussels and Rome, will be responsible for content development, creative direction, event production and logistics.

Commercial director Simon McDermott said: “It’s a real privilege to have been selected by Volvo Cars and we can’t wait to get started. The brand is introducing some really exciting new products and our role now is to help showcase them in the best way possible.”

Volvo Cars and Ignition last worked together in 2013, when Ignition created an event-based iPad app for the car manufacturer.

Client engagement manager Gary Rowntree added: “Product launch training events like this are among the key activities Ignition undertakes.”
