Industry experts will be taking to the podium at an event organised by The Tourism Society in May, where they will discuss how to improve promotion of the UK events industry to domestic and overseas markets.

Confirmed speakers at ‘MICE & Business Travel: The UK vs. The Emerging Markets’ include Alistair Turner, PR director of the Britain for Events Campaign, who will provide an update on the project, which is now in its 10th year and has recently received backing from Prime Minister David Cameron and John Penrose, minister of tourism.

Rob Davidson, senior lecturer, events management at University of Greenwich Business School, will present his annual EIBTM Trends Report on the meetings industry, while Greg Hitchen, group chief executive from exhibition and conference company, Terrapinn will give an international perspective.

The event takes place on 10 May at the Strand Palace Hotel. Tickets are available via the link below.
