Meet in Ireland has launched a Corporate Supports Programme and announced a new strategy to attract more events to the country.

The initiatives have been created to incentivise organisers to bring meetings, conferences and events to Ireland, while underlining the depth of global businesses and industries that have made their homes in the country, such as Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Intel.

The programme offers a bespoke service to organisers, including financial assistance for events and introductions direct to industries and businesses; ideal for sourcing potential speakers, delegates and sponsors.

Meet in Ireland's Joyce McElroy said: "We’re really keen to encourage more modern business events, those that make the most of our incentive product as well as our large meetings options. We’ve seen some stunning events recently that combine inside content with on street exhibitions and wider incentive trips. It means our guests are making the most of our country while they are here, and having a much more productive experience."

The Corporate Supports Programme provides access to industries including mobile and telecoms, computing, social and digital, finance and pharma. Meanwhile, incentive products will be given access to film sets and locations used by global franchises from Game of Thrones to Star Wars.

It comes after the country hosted a range of events last year including the Google Campus activation in Belfast, the Microsoft Software Licencing Meeting (EMEA), ull 17, an Apple inspired design and developer conference and one of Siemens’ most recent product launches.
