KDM Events has appointed Brad Davies to its board of directors.

Davies trained in accountancy and devoted his early career to stock broking and investment banking, before making a career change in 2012 to join the team engagement and conferencing specialist founded by his father Kevin in 1990.

In his role as account director he works with agencies, corporate clients and venues to devise bespoke team engagement activities, conference content and corporate events.

Brad Davies said: “My banking background provided me with financial management skills as well as the ability to develop and foster corporate relationships. But having observed KDM as an interested outsider, I was bitten by the events bug and saw a way to harness my experience in a much more dynamic and people-orientated environment.”

Originally established to provide corporate off-road and outdoor activity days, KDM’s product portfolio has evolved over 25 years to include teambuilding activities, themed entertainment and conference content.

Davies added: “Having worked for a specialist online trading bank for a number of years, I’ve been especially keen to develop innovations such as audience engagement technology and interactive apps. Rather than promoting these as must-have gadgets we make sure that all event content is harnessed explicitly to deliver a measurable return on our clients’ identified business objectives.”

KDM MD Kevin Davies said: “This company has always been run with a family ethos; I believe in selecting the best people and giving them the freedom to grow within the business, while sharing the company’s values of best practice and mutual support.

“Since he joined us Brad has shown his commitment and enthusiasm for taking the business forward while being part of a creative, energetic team delivering an exciting and multi-disciplinary product, so of course I couldn’t be more pleased that he has become a member of the board.”
