Convention organising and association management company Kenes Group is divesting itself of its interest in webcasting specialist Multiwebcast to retain its independence.
“Kenes Group and its operational companies place great value in being independent and unbiased when presenting technical and webcasting options to clients,” said Quirine Laman Trip, Kenes Group BD director.
“Since the co-ownership of Multiwebcast Inc, offering a specific format of webcasting and e-learning, could potentially hamper an unbiased approach, it was mutually agreed to end the Kenes Group legal and financial interest in Multiwebcast. Multiwebcast will remain one of the preferred suppliers of Kenes Group and its operational teams worldwide, in appreciation of the Multiwebcast expertise and skills.”
The Kenes Group took a minority share in Canadian Multiwebcast Inc (known as the Multilearning Group) in 2010 in order to be able to offer top level technical solutions, with Multiwebcast at the forefront of webcasting development for medical congresses. Since then, webcasting and quality webcasting solutions are being offered by a growing number of suppliers worldwide.
