Kent Event Centre has announced a 10 per cent year on year increase in turnover for its event business in 2015.

The venue attributes the rise to an increased awareness of the upgraded facilities at the venue, including the site’s Maidstone Exhibition Hall which opened in 2014. Since the launch of the new venue, the team at Kent Event Centre has seen a number of repeat bookings and has also reported an increase in new business enquiries as a result.

The venue has also reported a 12 per cent increase in turnover for the first quarter of this financial year, with a 49 per cent increase in Q1 conference sales for the period of October to December 2015 compared with the same period the previous year.

Kent Event Centre manager Alison Wallington said: “We’re so pleased to have enjoyed such a strong financial year and first quarter here at the Kent Event Centre.  It’s great to see our clients enjoying the new facilities we have on offer.

“Our profits from the Kent Event Centre are reinvested back into the Kent County Agricultural Society, a charity which helps to support agriculture and land-based industry in the region, so it’s great to know that the conferences and events we host here help us to give something back to the community.”

The venue is the largest conference facility in Kent, offering 7,000 sqm of indoor space along with 200 acres of outdoor space.
