Buckinghamshire-based Lane End Conference Centre has appointed two new members of staff following the most financially successful year in the venue’s 46-year history.

Lydia Kenny and Holly Picot both join Lane End as conference and events executives. Kenny has past roles at Trinity College and Cliveden House Hotel and Spa, while Picot’s previous experience includes roles with Harrods, Selfridges and Cathay Pacific.

These appointments come off the back of Lane End’s best financial results, ahead of the completion of a £2.2 million investment plan which finishes in the summer.

Lane End posted an operating profit of £433k on a turnover of £3.8m according to unaudited results for the year ending August 2015.

Heni Fourie, director of sales and marketing at Lane End Conference Centre, said: “Strong financial figures tell its own story but recent success can also be attributed to ongoing refurbishment.

“The fact that we are an independent venue enables us to freely invest a considerable amount of our annual profit into refurbishment and maintenance.”
