Experiential agency Line Up has appointed Neil Thompson as
its new creative director, replacing Ben Rakison, who has left to go travelling.
Thompson, who has been working for Line Up on a freelance
basis for the past year, has previously worked with clients including Ferrari,
Blackberry, Estee Lauder, Barclays and Shell. Prior to going freelance, Thompson worked for Wood Design,
the Button Group and at MICE International.
Rob Leach, managing director at Line Up, said: “Neil brings
with him an outstanding portfolio of work and is brimming with creative
ideas. After working with us on a series of pan-European Volvo events
this summer, he has once again proved that he is an agile creative talent,
skilled at devising effective and memorable brand environments.”
Thompson added: “It feels very natural to move into a
permanent role at Line Up. The agency has a strong reputation for
delivering events and experiences that transform the way people think, act and
feel. This is what I love about what I do and it is exciting to now be at
the creative heart of a forward-thinking and tight-knit team.”
As well as acting as agency lead on live creative projects, Thompson will also play a role in helping develop Line Up’s digital portfolio.
