In response to increasing enquiries for private events, London Union took a group of event professionals on a showing of two its street feast venues at a winter showcase.

The company, which launched an events offering in October, invited more than 25 agency representatives to its Dinerama and Hawker House premises.

London Union venues were all abandoned spaces in London before the company turned them into bustling street food markets. It has revealed plans to add another major venue to its portfolio in 2016, but hasn't disclosed its location.

The guests, including representatives from AOK Events and Vivid Event Group, indulged on food and drinks such as hot cider and pork and tofu steamed rolls at the Shoreditch venue Dinerama, before being transported to Hawker House in Canada Water.

London Union sales director Emma Howe, who helped launched the events arm in last year, said event enquiries had increased.

"We've been inundated with enquiries from bookers looking for alternative spaces for launch parties, exhibitions, conferences and Christmas parties, so it was great to give buyers an idea of two of our venues," she said.

"The feedback was overwhelming. Our aim for this year is to continue to create unique experiences with bespoke menus from some of the best food traders in the UK for our event bookers."
