VisitScotland’s business events team showed Scottish spirit on its annual two-day tour of top conference and incentive agents around London and the M25 corridor.

Hosted on a luxury coach, Scotland on Tour saw seven Scottish event partners meet contacts from eight agencies, enjoying around 40 sales appointments in two days.

For more than 10 years, Scotland on Tour has established itself as an event which provides agents with an easy way to learn and hear more about Scotland directly without having to travel much further than the office front door.

Mihri Miralem, market manager – London & South England, at VisitScotland said: “London and the South East is a key market for Scotland’s business events industry and our London events such as Scotland on Tour are a great way for industry partners to meet with MICE buyers from this market.

“From an event planner’s perspective the event is an excellent use of their time, providing the opportunity to meet seven Scottish suppliers in one go and find out all the latest developments and offerings from Scotland.”

Among the participating agents were Banks Sadler, cievents, CL Venues, Clive, Kuoni Destination Management, Conference Wise, Omega World Travel and Pacific World.

Ollie Launn, account manager at Clive, said: “We really enjoyed hopping on board the VisitScotland bus. It was a fun, engaging and much more interactive way of bringing the standard supplier meeting to life."

Scottish partners included The Balmoral, A Rocco Forte Hotel; Dundas Castle; Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre; Principal Hayley Hotels Scotland; The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh; Trump Turnberry, A Luxury Collection Resort; and VisitAberdeenshire.
