Luxury prizes up for grabs in M&IT Awards charity auction

Bids being taken with more than 80 lots on offer

The bidding has opened for the M&IT Awards charity auction

A holiday for two to Abu Dhabi and a luxury stay at a five-star hotel are some of the prizes up for grabs for the M&IT Awards Charity Auction.


The auction, which officially opens today, is in aid of the industry charity Meeting Needs and has already raised more than £1700. It will run until 2pm on Wednesday 24 February.


There are more than 80 lots to choose from donated by supporters within the events industry.


Each year, funds raised by the auction help Meeting Needs provide direct and life-changing support to children and communities worldwide. Recent support has included the provision of solar-powered portable lamps to more than 200 children a junior school in rural Uganda, allowing them to study when light is low.


Shonali Rodrigues, Meeting Needs Director of Development, said: “It is wonderful that the industry rallies behind us to donate such amazing and unique experiences, helping us to raise valuable funds to support those who are less fortunate. There is something for everyone in this auction so please bid generously!”
