MCI's Gerrit Jessen appointed MPI vice chair of finance

Regional MD of MCI Germany, Austria and Czech Republic elected to MPI's international board of directors

Gerrit Jessen, regional MD of MCI  Germany, Austria and Czech Republic, has been elected to Meeting Professionals International’s (MPI) international board of directors as the new vice chair of finance. 

The current vice chair of finance, Enterprise Holdings Inc.’s corporate travel and meetings director Amanda Armstrong, will become the new MPI chair-elect once Jessen’s term starts. 

Jessen said: “I have been a member of MPI for over 17 years now and have held various volunteer leadership roles during that time. MPI has been instrumental for my business success over the years. Building community is what drives our business at MCI and what is also driving me personally.” 

Jessen’s annual term commences on January 1, 2017 and builds on previous roles within MPI and other international institutions. He has been a member of the international board of directors since 2012, sits on the board of the German Convention Bureau and is vice chair of the visitBerlin Convention Partner Association.

Jessen’s appointment will ensure MCI’s continual involvement with MPI to bring MCI clients the best expertise, insights and most up-to-date industry knowledge. MPI’s mission is to provide its members with the latest professional development and business opportunities within a vibrant network of global event experts.
