Live communication company mclcreate has continued the expansion of its Scottish presence with a move to a new, bigger premises in Edinburgh.

The agency has taken up residence in a 1,500 sqm warehouse space in the west of the city, in a new-build venue that is three times larger than its previous office.

It comes amid an expansion of mclcreate's Scottish offer, following the appointment of Mark McGauchrane as head of engagement and Mike Donoghue as new senior business development manager. Edinburgh's office has similarly grown from 10 employees when it launched in 2001, to 22 staff members.

The company has also been involved in a number of major projects in Scotland, including the launch of the Edinburgh International Festival called Deep Time.

"Scotland is a key location for us," said Tim Spencer, managing director of mclcreate.

"As our company grows, it is vital that we invest in our Scottish operation, a significant area of business for our company. Here, we have enjoyed major successes in recent years with an increasing number of clients taking advantage of our deep expertise across live communication services, covering everything from creative design, conceptualisation and account management to delegate and event management, digital services, equipment supply and full technical support – in short, everything they need to create a successful event experience."

The new warehouse has been built to mclcreate's unique requirements, offering a preview space for clients to experience the look and feel of their own event in advance. The new office complements mclcreate's other Scottish office in Glasgow, along with its UK bases in Manchester, Birmingham and London.
