Swiss cities have confirmed an influx of sought-after medical meetings for 2017 and beyond.

Switzerland Convention and Incentive Bureau (SCIB) has reported that Geneva has confirmed the 2019 Congress of the World Federation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) for 5,000 delegates and Davos has confirmed the 53rd Annual Meeting & 39th Post Graduate Course of the European Society of Paediatric Radiology (ESPR) for 600 delegates.

The five-day 1,500-delegate World Congress of Surgery will come to Basel in 2017 and Lausanne has clinched deals to host six medical congresses including the 2017 European Meeting on Adult Congenital Heart Disease which will see 200 specialists from across Europe converge on the city.

Livio Goetz, SCIB UK and Ireland manager said: “We have had a strong year with a variety of events confirmed at destinations across Switzerland. It’s great to see so much interest from medical congresses in hosting their events in Switzerland. This highlights the popularity and strength of Switzerland as a destination to host events in a competitive market.”
