Meeting Needs converts visitors into donations at Confex

International Confex has partnered with Meetings Needs to donate £1 for every VIP visitor entry at the show

International Confex has agreed a partnership with industry charity Meetings Needs that will see the show donate £1 for every VIP visitor entry. 

The show has printed more than 10,000 VIP invites that will be distributed through exhibitors and sponsors to senior buyers within the events community.

The agreement follows last year's charity activity, which saw the show donate money for every step taken by hundreds of attendees at the show. The activity raised £1,500 for Meetings Needs and the organisers are keen to beat this figure with the help of industry professionals.

“We’ve got a great partnership with Confex, and we’re so pleased that they are supporting Meetings Needs once again,” said Shonali Rodrigues, director of development at Meeting Needs. “The show is all about innovation, so we are trying another innovative way for event professionals to support the industry’s charity; and welcome more innovative ideas about fundraising for Meeting Needs.”

“We’re really keen to beat last year’s total, and give our visitors the chance to contribute to the industry’s charity just by coming along as a VIP,” said Liz Agostini, event director for Confex. “It also gives us our exhibitors another chance to show their customers that they care and also make a contribution to the great work Meeting Needs does both domestically and around the world.”
