NYS Corporate joins GBTA Meetings Committee

NYS Corporate has joined the Global Business Travel Association’s (GBTA) Meetings Committee.

The agency's sales and marketing director Leanne Fowler has been invited to join the association, where she will work to develop innovative approaches to maximise the overall impact of meetings.

Fowler said: “I am thrilled to be part of the GBTA meetings committee and working alongside buyer representatives across Europe. I hope to link the work undertaken in my role as Board Direct at the Institute of Travel Management (ITM) with key GBTA objectives to support the committee; increase awareness of meetings management, retain talent within the meetings industry and optimise expenditure.”

The role will see Fowler working with agencies, buyers including IKEA and AstraZeneca and major suppliers such as the Marriott Group.

The key objectives of the GBTA’s Meetings Committee are:

- To raise awareness of the importance of meetings as a management tool
- To raise awareness of the positive impact of meeting design
- To attract and retain talent in the meetings industry
- Optimisation of spend
