NYS Corporate, the York-based event, conference and travel management agency has claimed record-breaking figures after winning £6 million of new business.

Client wins in 2015 included White Stuff, Karen Millen and Whistles, and NYS Corporate MD Oliver Garside said the company experienced 18 per cent growth in turnover and a 42 per cent increase in profitability for 2015/16.

Current figures have yet to be published at Companies House, but last year’s figures reveal a £450k pre-tax profit for the 12 months ended 31 March 2015 – an increase of £173k on 2014’s figures.

NYS has set a long-term goal of topping £50 million turnover by December 2017 and thanks to investment in IT and staffing, Garside says the agency is well on track at £41m. 2015’s accounts point to turnover of £37.7m.

“Some of the major investments we have made include a significant upgrade of our IT infrastructure and a major expansion of our in-house development team,” he added. “This has already resulted in the launch of Sbooker – a new industry leading meetings and events booking tool – as well as a number of innovative apps and an exciting range of ground-breaking products in the pipeline. We have also significantly expanded our staff training budget to ensure we remain a leader in customer service, created specialist training posts and ‘technology gurus’.”
