The EWL Club, the membership networking group for event managers, is to expand into the Midlands following its North of England launch.

Founded in London last year by freelance event planner Helen Moon, the EWL (Eventprofs Who Lunch) Club organises monthly roundtable discussions and thought leadership sessions held over lunch in informal settings. Since its launch, membership has grown to more than 400.

EWL Club North was launched this week at The Lowry in Manchester and will introduce its Midlands Branch at The Rep, Birmingham’s Repertory Theatre on 7 October with a debate on event technology.

Moon said: “Both the EWL North and Midlands launches have been six months in the planning, and have been eagerly and greatly received by event professionals in both regions who believe that attending EWL events offers them real benefit and value. I’m keen to grow and develop the EWL brand and membership in both of these powerhouses with the support of two fantastic committees, replicating the success of EWL London.”

Both EWL Club North and Midlands will follow on from their launch events with monthly lunches, each with a different topical theme. For more, visit or
