Seventa Events says its recent move to new offices, increasing floorspace by five times, has helped gain a 40 per cent increase in new clients.

The Bournemouth-based company moved from its old premises in Westbourne to a larger, creative office in Wallisdown in May last year, that has been furnished with a ping pong table and an indoor garden.

It comes as Seventa increased its head count, following the arrival of event producer Rosie Burns this week.

Event producer Stuart Hartley said the office expansion and new talent in the creative team had helped to win a number of new business, from within the insurance, retail and fashion industries.

"It's been really positive. We're able to bring in customers and they can see the environment we work in and see that we're a creative team, which I think has been really beneficial," Hartley said.

"We've got pictures up of what we've done and we can show different events that we've worked on."

The new premises has a warehouse three times the floorplan of the previous, allowing the company to house extra props and furniture.

As well as new recruit Burns, Seventa has also taken on a university student, Fabienne Bailey, for the first time and the agency is considering expanding the team further.

Hartley said: "We've had a lot of applications for from students and when Fabienne sent through her details it seemed like the right time for us to take on a student. We've got a lot of interesting projects in the pipeline and it's good for us to give something back to the local community.

"There's certainly talk of expanding in terms of staff numbers. We've got a busy schedule of events coming up but at the same time, we don't want to grow too fast that it dilutes who we are."
