Russ Dennison and Amy Toal have joined Victoria Warehouse, after a record year in corporate event bookings
Victoria Warehouse
has increased its events team after a record-breaking year, which saw corporate
bookings rise by 65 per cent.
The Manchester-based
venue, which opened a new event space in September, says it's current expansion
has triggered the boost in 2015 bookings.
It has welcomed two
new staff members - Russ Dennison as music, sport and entertainment sales
manager and Amy Toal, as PR and marketing manager.
Kayleigh Brindle, director of sales at the venue, said: “The opening of our new versatile
event space The Bays, repeat business and increased brand awareness has played
an important role in us experiencing our most successful year to date for corporate
event bookings.”
The events team at
the venue has increased from one staff member to six this year.
Brindle adds:
"We have plans to increase this further in 2016 as the expansion project
at the venue continues."
Toal joins the venue
having previously worked at Emirates Old Trafford where she led the venue and
events marketing.
She said: "The
variety of events that the venue has held in just a few years has been
incredible with top brand names such as New Look and Siemens hosting events
here. The venue is raw and industrial and presents a completely different and
exciting venue to my previous events experience.”
Dennison was
previously sales manager at the National Ice Centre and Capital FM Arena in
Nottingham.
Victoria Warehouse's
new event space, The Bays, consists of a pre-function room with open plan
kitchen and large feature bar, alongside a main event space.
The next phase in
its expansion will see the addition of a basement events space finished in late
2016, before the addition of a 400-room on-site hotel to be fully completed by
2017.
