Cleaner commutes to work and the removal of all desk bins has seen BI WORLDWIDE staff achieve a 100 per cent environmental sustainability rating.

The agency was given the perfect score in the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Sustainability Index, following the introduction of several green practices.

As well as encouraging staff not to drive to work and replacing desk bins with more recycling points, the agency used its recent office refurbishment to roll out greener initiatives such as energy efficient lighting, temperature control, and it has also created a committee that encourages staff to volunteer and become more community-orientated.

The company also owns an electric pool car and has a long-standing Investors in People accreditation.

BI WORLDWIDE MD Mike Davies said: "We are very proud of the scores we have achieved in the CIPS Sustainability Index and, more importantly, of the commitment our entire team have shown to ensuring sustainability remains an integral part of the BI WORLDWIDE culture."
