Planners should 'think more creatively' about networking

Insights and tips into how planners can be more creative for networking events will be shared in the next #EventPlannersTalk LIVE.

Pierre Oudine, managing director and co-founder of Raising Stones Events, and Emmanuel Zegre, senior corporate sales manager at Nice Acropolis Convention Centre, will lead the panel and debate, which will take place on 21 September from 8-10am.

Organiser Irina Trofimovskaya said: "The way we network is changing; attendees are getting savvier and more demanding and event planners must meet these expectations. Instead of offering a networking drinks reception, we planners should think more creatively about how to facilitate networking through experiences, so that when our attendees return from the conference they have not only gained valuable knowledge, but also business partners they can now call friends.

"Networking is an integral part of every event, but often attendees are forced into networking situations where they find themselves scanning badges to find decision makers or someone important. Let’s take a step back from this traditional format and explore ways of networking through experiences and incentive travel."

Other topics will include incorporating incentive activities into overseas corporate events; best uses of destination management companies; latest trends in incentive travel and integrating social programmes into conferences.

The talk will take place at ATOUT FRANCE's office, at Lincoln House in Holborn. Those interested can register here.
