Portman/ Clarity announces leadership team

Travel management company confirms appointments following its acquisition from Mawaseum Travel & Tourism Group

Travel management company (TMC) Portman/Clarity has announced its new leadership team following Portman Travel's acquisition by the Mawaseum Travel & Tourism Group.


The company, now the seventh largest TMC in the UK, has appointed Redmond Walsh to the additional role of executive chairman while CEO Pat McDonagh continues to report directly to Walsh.


Other leadership positions include Paul Casement as director of sales and account management, John Dick as director of operations, Sue Chapman as director of commercial, Adrian Parkes as director of product and marketing, Jane Harrington as group head of HR, Matt Oates as group director of IT and Mark Nevin as group chief financial officer.


Pat McDonagh said: "My first task was to identify the right people from Portman and Clarity who could come together to lead this new business. That process is complete and we now have in place a great team with a broad range of industry experience and a strong track record of delivering results.


"Working together, we will continue the process of merging the two companies, creating a market leading organisation that is greater than the sum of its parts, with an emphasis on the best people and the best technology to serve our customers."


Portman/ Clarity, which has headquarters in Manchester, now employs 700 people across the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands and has a turnover of more than £400 million.
