The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) says it has attracted record attendance numbers for its third annual conference, welcoming more than 950 attendees from more than 20 countries.

The conference, in Frankfurt, heard from industry experts who spoke on topics such as terror threats to business travellers, including the psychological impact of the numerous, seemingly random attacks.

GBTA executive director and COO Michael McCormick also hosted industry leaders Mike Eberhard of Concur and Doug Anderson of American Express Global Business Travel at Centre Stage for one-on-one interviews, where they covered topics like the future of the buyer, acquisitions and the importance of diversity.

Catherine McGavock, GBTA regional vice president of EMEA, said: "We are thrilled to complete another successful conference in partnership with VDR. A record number of delegates were treated to phenomenal speakers, high-level education sessions an expanded expo and numerous networking opportunities. We look forward to continue delivering an exceptional Conference experience for business travel management professionals in Frankfurt again next year."

The 2017 conference will return to Frankfurt on 28-30 November.
