Imagination director Richard Foulkes is to leave the communications agency after 30 years due to a restructure within the company.
The agency confirmed today (Wednesday) that Foulkes will be leaving Imagination at the end of this week as “he has recognised a number of opportunities outside Imagination that he would like to pursue”.
It is believed the restructure concerns the Ford team in Imagination’s London office due to the current climate in the automotive industry. Foulkes will now branch out on his own when he leaves this Friday (31 August).
In a statement, Imagination said: “We are extremely grateful for the nearly 30 years contribution Richard has made to Imagination across many aspects of our business and many different clients.”
Imagination was unable to give any more information, and no details have been announced as to whether Foulkes’ role will be replaced.
Earlier this year Foulkes received the accolade of M&IT Industry Personality of the Year. He has been a member of the International Special Events Society (ISES) since 1999 and served as president of the ISES UK chapter for two years. In 2011, he was also appointed as the first non-American member in eight years to serve on the ISES International Board of Governors headquartered in Chicago.
