She's Gott It! launches booking arm in response to insurance 'red tape'

Lengthy insurance processes for booking third-party entertainment acts has led She's Gott It! Events to launch its own booking agency.

The North East based agency says securing entertainment like hosts and speakers for corporate dinners and awards were "tricky", because its insurance company wouldn't cover the act, forcing it to book through other agencies.

Founder and MD Nickie Gott said: "Some of our existing clients have approached us in the past to book acts but unfortunately, unless we're acting as the client booking the act, our insurance company wouldn't cover us. This way, we get rid of the red tape and we're managing to give our clients what they wanted.

"Having this new agency allows us to get insurance on board. In some respects it's been a good thing because we were finding more and more we were coming up against brick walls. Unless we took an agency on and went through their insurance company we basically weren't allowed to give the all clear."

The new booking agent arm adds to She's Gott It! services including event management, exhibition design, dressing and AV hire. The booking service will be managed by current staff members before the agency evaluates whether to appoint a new dedicated team to run it.

Gott added: "This added element is a real coup in expanding our offer and strengthening our brand. Our cohesive approach will ensure that every client gets the best in the industry today with us offering as much or as little as they want.  With insurance and safety covered too our clients get peace of mind."
