Smyle chosen for tech week opener

Agency to deliver launch event for London Technology Week

Smyle has been tasked with producing the launch event for this week’s London Technology Week.

The festival of live events celebrates and showcases the capital as a tech innovation powerhouse. Smyle has been appointed by the city’s promotional agency London & Partners to manage the launch, at The Yard in Shoreditch.

Creative director Matthew Margetson said: “Innovation, creativity and technology are Smyle’s key ingredients and what we use on a daily basis to create powerful brand experiences. Our work is all about harnessing technology in ways that add true value to live experiences and which provide intuitive ways to engage audiences. Luckily, the team at L&P and the launch of Tech Week itself echo this sentiment, so this feels like the perfect fit and makes us doubly proud to be a supporting partner for the official launch event of London Technology Week.”

The event will tell the ‘London Convergence Story’ and examine how tech is changing traditional industries such as fashion, healthcare, music and advertising.

London & Partners CEO Gordon Innes said: “At the launch of this year’s London Technology Week we want to celebrate some of London’s most innovative fashion technology companies and we are delighted to draw upon the creativity and event management experience of Smyle to produce a first of its kind fashion technology showcase.”
