The Sustainable Events Summit (SES) 2016 is taking place on Monday 21 November at 30 Euston Square, London.

And this year sees a change in format, as organisers hope to highlight exactly what the industry needs to do to address the issue of sustainability.

Rick Stainton, MD of SES founding partner Smyle Group, said: “With the UN sustainability goals and the adoption of the universal climate change agreement from the COP 21 driving the global agenda, the format of SES is changing in 2016.

“Through thought-leadership research projects and the live summit later in the autumn, SES will help to highlight the perceived ‘knowledge gap’ between what the industry is actually doing and what it needs to do.”

The new format will include the unveiling of the SES 2016 Research Project, which is canvassing more than 100 event professionals from global brands about their views on sustainability. Global not-for-profit organisation Positive Impact, another SES founding partner, is gathering industry expertise, ideas, resources and research, the findings of which will be exclusively revealed at SES 2016.
