A group of TRO event organisers who completed a charity challenge started by their former colleague and director Tom Gentle have donated £3,600.

Eight cyclists and a support team took part in the London to Paris (L2P) challenge in April one year after Gentle's challenge, before the director died suddenly in a sailing accident in September 2015.

The TRO team managed to beat the 24 hour time limit set by the challenge, reaching the French capital in 22 hours 40 minutes.

Two of the cyclists then went on to run the Paris Marathon the following day, joined by two additional members of the TRO team.

This week the company presented the £3666 raised from the challenge - renamed L2P4TG in Gentle's honour - to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, who provided rapid response at the scene of Gentle's accident.

Holly Lambert, area fundraising manager for the East Anglian Air Ambulance said: "The average mission cost is £3,500 and each mission could involve multiple patients so the donation from the TRO team to our charity will undoubtedly have a significant impact.  We would like to extend thanks to all those involved in the L2P4TG challenge."

An additional £3,666 was also raised for the Jubilee Sailing Trust.
