TRO recruits 20 operations staff to meet seasonal demand

Agency prepares for a summer of activations and experiential work by training up new employees

A busy summer of brand activations and experiential activity has prompted TRO to take on 20 new seasonal event operators.

The new recruits will join the event operations workforce of 45, and will be responsible for transport, set-up and managing event kit and activations for clients including BMW, Volvo, Ribena, Lucozade, Vauxhall and Diageo. They are currently undergoing a two-week training course at the Isleworth-based agency, and will be at the company for a minimum of six months. 

Operations director Gary Wootton said: “We have purposefully selected candidates with diverse backgrounds in order to match skills and personalities with our clients’ brands.  

“To get to this point we have been on an intensive three-month recruitment journey including four assessment days as well as the two-week training course the team are currently participating in. Event operators can be the final TRO touchpoint at an event so it is hugely important that we invest in a thorough recruitment and training strategy to ensure we deliver the very best team in the industry.”

TRO will be providing support to clients at events such as the BMW PGA Championship golf and the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
