A Scottish team building company has partnered with a five-star venue in a bid to capture the burgeoning Chinese business visitor market.

Team Challenge Company has linked up with Angus venue House of Turin after the latter reported a rise in Chinese guests between 2014 and 2015.

House of Turin owner Yvonne Corbett said the partnership would offer the business visitors traditional Scottish activities such as golf and shooting.

Corbett said: "The incentive travel market is a huge part of our business and we have recently had two enquiries from Chinese groups who are looking to use the venue for business away day purposes. We have seen a great response from Chinese tourists, who want to experience all that Scotland has to offer. Activities such as clay pigeon shooting are banned in China so it is not uncommon to see large groups come to the UK for a day or two and want to try something new.

"The partnership with Team Challenge specifically gives us the opportunity to move into the team building and conferencing markets. As before, the venue was primarily for weddings and private functions. However, now we can offer services associated with corporate entertainment."
