The Appointment Group’s plans for 2016 include US expansion and investment in technology.

The company’s aims, unveiled at its annual conference in Manchester, also include developing its TAG Academy and increasing training opportunities for staff.

The agency’s London and Manchester offices joined representatives from the company’s international offices in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore to review the group’s performance in 2015 and discuss plans and objectives for the coming year.

TAG Global Events director Sam Robson said: “The conference is attended by all 150 UK based staff as well as some staff and management teams from TAG’s US and Asia Pacific offices.

“The conference reviewed last year’s global objectives and communicates the plans for 2016 and beyond. This includes continued US expansion, greater investment in technology and developing our TAG Academy and training opportunities for staff.”

The Doubletree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly hosted the company’s 170 delegates for the presentations and accommodation, while the gala dinner took place at the Lowry Hotel.

The conference theme of ‘Growth though Excellence’ was designed to bring together the company’s six specialist divisions of corporate travel, touring, private clients, events, film and media and sports. Staff turned detective for the afternoon’s crime solving activity and learned the art of finger printing, creating a e-photofit and hunting for clues from ex-Scotland Yard officers including a visit to the ‘crime scene’ at the company’s Manchester office.

Robson added: “The 2016 conference was really successful and is integral to our continued growth. It improves staff working relationships, allows time for the communication and understanding of the company’s vision, created the opportunity for London based staff to see the Manchester office as well as space for some fun too.”

The Appointment Group’s US conference will take place in March and the Asia Pacific conference is planned for November.
