US launch for MCI following PCO merger

US-based Coulter Companies now operates under the MCI US banner, and launches new strategic event management unit

MCI has officially launched its US operation following the completion of its merger with rival professional conference organiser (PCO) Coulter Companies.

The US company, which serves the corporate and association market, now comes under the MCI USA brand, while a strategic event management (SEM) business unit has been introduced to serve the American market. MCI USA is now headquartered in Washington DC, with an experiential marketing and events division in New York, and presence in five additional states. Coulter Companies founder Thomas Coulter Gibson will serve as CEO of MCI USA.

He said: “The merger of MCI and Coulter Companies has already proven to be a union of common business philosophies built around the power of people and performance.” 

Richard Torriani, MCI’s COO, Americas, added: “Even prior to the official formation of MCI USA, MCI’s growth in the United States and resulting benefits to our clients have been compelling, exceeding our most optimistic expectations.”
