University's new venue attracts £11.5m in enquiries

More than £11.5 million worth of enquiries have been made for the University of Warwick's newest event space, as the venue readies to welcome it's first corporate client later this year.

The new £5.3m venue, which has been named The Slate, will welcome 130 delegates for a financial conference in December.

Rachael Bartlett, head of sales and marketing at Warwick Conferences, the university's conferencing arm, said: "The response to the new venue has been fantastic with over £11.5m worth of enquiries, which just goes to show the level of demand for a high capacity, high quality and flexible facility such as this in Central England. We are very much looking forward to welcoming our first corporate client in December and working with them to realise their vision in our new contemporary space."

The Slate comprises 650 sqm of event space for up to 400 seated delegates, and can be available on an exclusive use basis. It will open in December.
