Architectural firm Gensler has a released a video detailing public reaction to their proposal to build a temporary floating structure on the river Thames.

The radical design would house Parliament during a proposed six year period of renovation and renewal that is expected to cost up to £5.7 billion. Gensler claim their design could save the taxpayer more £1.8bn. In the video, passers-by express their support for the structure.

Although warmly received, a spokesman for the Houses of Parliament indicated that any suggestion of a floating structure had been quashed due to concerns about security.
