Virgin totally rebranded The Mermaid, including bespoke brand lighting throughout the venue and a fake grass stage set-up, for its biggest ever Virgin Disruptors event.

The company's founder Sir Richard Branson joined several other high profile speakers for the full-day vent, including LADbible founder and CEO Solly Solomou and Emergent CEO Holly Ransom, attracting a record 600 business professionals and entrepreneurs.

The annual event, held earlier this month, included a series of panel discussions, key notes and break-out sessions in the venue's auditorium and other event spaces, all exploring best business practices. Along with brand lighting and a novel stage, the events team decorated the venue with letter vinyls on walls, roll up banners, floor vinyl and even sourced an illuminated hanging orb for picnic break-out space.

Lisa Thomas, Virgin Enterprises Limited global head of brand and managing director, said: "Feedback from Disruptors indicates that 90 per cent of those attending 2016's sold out event would return for 2017 if given the option. It's success was no doubt aided by the Mermaid's in-house time and well executed spaces within the venue. A fantastic day for Virgin, the speakers involved and those lucky enough to secure a ticket."
