Vista has laid the foundations for international growth after two senior appointments.

The Leeds-based communications and event management agency has recruited Nicholas Simpson as event director and Paul Veltman as business development director.

Formerly a technical director at Turning Point Solutions, Simpson has experience of delivering large scale events for Hewlett Packard, Marriott Hotels and CISCO across Asia, while Veltman has joined from Velti, the agency he founded in South Africa. His experience includes projects across Africa for brands including Sony PlayStation, SAP, Vodafone, MTV, SAB Miller, MINI and LG.

Vista, which rebranded from Logistik in 2015, has set its sights on further international expansion by adding the duo's expertise, says MD James Wilkins. Veltman will lead the new business team while Simpson will focus on the delivery of Vista’s large scale events and productions on a local and international level.

“Following the rebrand we have been looking for talent that has the skill to assist and lead international growth with the ability to excel our core on a local and national level,” he said. “Both Paul and Nicholas have this skillset and are both an asset to the expanding Vista team.”

Veltman added: “Vista has enjoyed strong growth through its capability to curate and produce projects across all industries on an unlimited scale, so  after my meetings with James on the future plans for the business, it was a no-brainer that Vista could provide the opportunity and challenge I was looking for.”
