Former West End performer and BBC radio presenter Louise Perry is expanding her weddings business into corporate events with the unveiling of her new agency, Louise Perry Events.

The professional singer decided to launch into the corporate market after a number of brides requested her to take on the delivery of their internal company events.

She already has two corporate clients thanks to her weddings business - a law firm and a hedge fund company - and said she aimed to take on three more over the next 12 months before slowly expanding her team.

She said: "I want to make sure the agency still retains it's personal feel and identity; I want clients to know who they're speaking to and get to know us. I like to get involved which is why I started doing weddings. It's never my intention to take on loads of clients because, and it's the same with weddings, you just can't give the time that's required.

"Our ethos behind Louise Perry Weddings is you get to know the client. It's very much a relationship that is built. We want to take the same ethos into the corporate market."

Perry currently employs an events assistant, Natalie Burgess, and two interns, and says she hopes to take on another staff member within two or so years.

She said her wedding experience had prepared her for the corporate market.

"It's the same meticulous attention for detail- in fact it's probably more so with a wedding than you have for a corporate event. There's still detail but it's not the same you have with a wedding. The same principals apply; looking at budget, sourcing the right suppliers, whether it's for a product launch, gala dinner, awards ceremony. You still have to allocate it where it needs to be allocated."

Louise Perry Events launches today, Thursday 13 October, at Imperial War Museum in conjunction with the agency's supplier partners Peyton Events.
