York goes to Houses of Parliament to boost conferences

More than 70 buyers will be targeted in a campaign to boost conference bookings into York next year.

Planned by Visit York under the VisitYork4Meetings brand, the campaign’s showcase, 'York Minster to Westminster', will be held at the Houses of Parliament on 13 March, 2013, hosted by MP for York Central, Hugh Bayley, and MP for York Outer, Julian Sturdy.

 

The Westminster event will not only will target planners from London and the South East but also a selection of high-profile international organisers, thanks to a partnership with VisitEngland. It will feature networking, afternoon tea and tour at the Houses of Parliament, followed by a workshop on York and a Yorkshire themed dinner at the InterContinental London Westminster hotel.

Hosts of the event include York venues such as the Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa, York Minster Conference & Banqueting Centre and National Railway Museum.
