Tylney Hall Hotel invests £300k in refurb


Luxury Hampshire hotel Tylney Hall Hotel & Gardens has invested £300,000 in its meeting and events facilities with a modern new refurbishment. The upgrades to six of the hotel’s meeting and event rooms marry contemporary facilities and design with the luxurious country house setting. The hotel has also unveiled a brand-new meeting and event space, the Boardroom, which is now available for private hire for the first time in the hotel’s history. The wood-panelled former chairman’s study is located above the entrance porch, with picturesque views across the parkland to the neighbouring golf course.
 

Immersive theatre experience for Millennium


During the upcoming performance of Head Over Heels, the new musical comedy featuring the iconic songs of The Go-Go’s- guests staying at Millennium Broadway New York Times Square and Millennium Premier New York Times Square have the option to upgrade their NYC stay to a fully immersive theatre experience. When booking the hotels’ Hudson Theatre Package, guests will receive two tickets to the show and VIP access to the recently restored Hudson Theatre, connected via a hallway to the hotels’ lobbies.The package will include: Overnight accommodation at either Millennium Broadway or Millennium Premier, two tickets to a performance of Head Over Heels featuring the iconic songs of The Go-Go’s, a complimentary welcome drink for two at Hudson Theatre prior to the show, dinner at Bugis Street Brasserie and Bar and complimentary premium wi-fi. Guests who book the package will enjoy access to The Ambassador Lounge at Hudson Theatre prior to the showing of Head Over Heels. The package is priced from £341 and can be booked from now until February 17,2019.
 

Kensington Palace to host The Luna Winter Cinema in the Pavilion


One of six palaces cared for by independent charity Historic Royal Palaces, is one of three venues hosting The Luna Winter Cinema this December with guests invited to enjoy iconic Christmas films in the new Kensington Palace Pavilion. Run by The Luna Cinema, the UK’s leading producer of open air film screenings, the festive cinema experience will offer audiences the chance to enjoy classic festive films on the big screen in the unique palace setting. Running from the 17th-21st December. Alex Donnelly-Palmer, events and operations manager at Kensington Palace, said: “We are excited to be welcoming The Luna Winter Cinema to the Kensington Palace Pavilion for what will be a wonderfully unique and festive event, showcasing the versatility of our Pavilion space and offering guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in our stunning palace setting."
 

Crowne Plaza Manchester unveils new spaces


The Crowne Plaza – Oxford Road has unveiled its new events space. The seven meeting rooms can cater for more than 200 conference delegates at any one time. In a nod to its special location within the university district on Oxford Road, the hotel team have paid tribute to Manchester University’s most famous alumni - by naming their meeting rooms in their honour. Leicester Marriott Hotel has revealed its high-end refurbishment, which has seen the hotel undergo substantial changes as well as the introduction of new technological facilities to enhance the stay of both business and leisure guests. Hotel manager Rajesh Chahar said:“When we opened 12 years ago we knew it would be a popular hotel for conferences due to our size and flexibility of conferencing and meeting spaces.The number of new enquiries and bookings since the renovation has really exceeded our expectations. The major investment, particularly in the redesign of the Grove Suite, our largest conference and banqueting space which can seat up to 400 attendees with ease." New facilities include innovations such as the Marriott Meetings App – a first for the city - which gives organisers the ability to manage their event without ever leaving their seat, connecting planners and hotel teams on any web-enabled device in real time, 24/7. Organisers can even communicate with the Marriott events team instantly via the app so that they can focus on what matters most; delivering the best experience for their delegates.
 

Luxury floating hotel to open in Edinburgh


Fingal, the luxury floating hotel, permanently berthed on Edinburgh’s waterfront will officially launch in January 2019 and will be a first for Scotland, offering a unique venue for exclusive use hire; private events, weddings, and product launches.The former Northern Lighthouse Board ship is a £5 million investment developed by The Royal Yacht Britannia, offering exclusive hire with 23 cabins, a ballroom with a sweeping staircase, and The Lighthouse Bar, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Ballroom is nestled in the former hold of the ship and can accommodate up to 80 guests for dinner.The Lighthouse Bar on the Bridge Deck offers guests waterside views through floor to ceiling windows.The Bridge, is a private dining space with views, seating up to 10 guests in what was once the command centre of the Ship. For overnight stays and exclusive hire, guests can choose from a luxury cabin with access to an outside deck, a duplex cabin with comfortable living space, or the stunning Skerryvore Suite.
 

Refurb for Hotel Principe di Savoia


Dorchester Collection’s Milanese property, Hotel Principe di Savoia has renovated its event spaces. Dominating the Piazza della Repubblica in Milan, the landmark neo-classical building has been the natural home for international travellers and cosmopolitan society since the 1920s. The rerfurb of the events spaces has seen an update of the banqueting rooms, which will see a new design with softer fabrics, colours and the latest technology. Guests can choose from 301 rooms at the hotel, 44 of which are suites. The Principe has a total of 11 exclusive events spaces, which can be combined upon request, and the largest meeting space of any five-star hotel in Milan, accommodating up to 1000 guests across 1112 sqm.
