Nine meetings spaces for Amba Hotel Charing Cross

The Amba Hotel, Charing Cross, part of the GLH portfolio now boasts nine meetings spaces and banqueting suites. The Grade II listed hotel is located adjacent to Charing Cross station and tube station, overlooking Trafalgar Square. The largest of the meetings and conferences spaces is the Ballroom, seating up to 200 delegates theatre style. The hotel can host up to 610 guests/delegates in total for a business event across nine rooms and 639 sqm.

MGM Grand centre celebrates milestone

The MGM Grand Conference Centre has reached an important milestone – the topping out of its massive expansion. More than 100 construction workers along with MGM Resorts and MGM Grand executives were on-site to sign the last of nearly 2,700 individual steel beams before it was lifted into place by a 270-foot-tall, 125-ton crane. The $130m (£92m) project, when completed, will total almost 79,000 sqm, including a 2,000 sqm expansion of Stay Well Meetings, the industry’s first-ever wellness meetings experience.

Copenhagen Marriott reopens first class suite

The Copenhagen Marriott Hotel - the largest 5-star hotel in Denmark - has re-opened its first class suite, The Royal Suite. The Royal Suite consists of two separate areas allowing for different types of needs and space for all kinds of meetings.The Royal Suite can stage discreet executive board meetings, management meetings or creative meetings in the heart of the city, plus is a venue for private dinners, cocktail parties, receptions, product launches, photo or film shoots.

Le Grand Amman Jordan rebranded

AccorHotels have announced the rebranding of a prominent landmark hotel in Jordan to Le Grand Amman – managed by AccorHotels. The property consisting of 298-rooms and 67 serviced apartments was launched in partnership with Iskan Co. for Touristic & Hotel Investments.
Le Grand Amman is situated in close proximity to the upcoming Abdali Downtown Project. Catering towards a growing number of business travellers, the hotel is located at the centre of the Shmeisani commercial hub close to key ministries like the Ministry of Trade and Ministry of Interior. Business travellers also have access to eight meeting rooms in addition to the largest ballroom in Amman for large-scale events and family occasions.

The Grand looks ahead to big reveal

The Grand Brighton is launching a campaign to drive awareness ahead of the reveal of its major façade works. The year-long campaign, ‘Like No Other’, draws on the hotel’s independence and contemporary take on traditional hospitality. The campaign will span the hotel’s communications, kicking off with a six month digital drive - ‘Events That Had a Voice’ - set to put the spotlight on milestones that have been hosted by the landmark seafront hotel. Launching ‘Events That Had a Voice’ is ABBA’s 1974 Eurovision win, a time that saw the hotel take centre stage as the band was catapulted to fame. This year will be a milestone year for the hotel as it reveals the fresh new face of its 153 year old façade adding to the array of ‘Events That Had a Voice’ at The Grand Brighton.

Amàre Marbella Beach Hotel reopens for 2018

The Amàre Marbella Beach Hotel has reopened for 2018. This year, guests can look forward to a new Latin American dining concept, a fresh live music and arts calendar and a revamped wellness programme. New for 2018, Amàre Marbella’s Verité terrace will be taken over by Michelin-starred chef, Mauricio Giovanini, who will transform the beachside venue into Marbella’s first and only Latin American restaurant from mid-June to mid-September. Six Senses opens two city hotels in Singapore

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas has announced the latest project in the group’s expanding portfolio with its first two city hotels in Singapore; Six Senses Duxton and Six Senses Maxwell. Located in the heart of Singapore’s Chinatown, this conservation project will be split across two locations and see the restoration of two existing heritage buildings – the last to be developed in the city.

Country Inns & Suites has name change

Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonSM has changed its name to Country Inn & Suites by Radisson. Country Inn & Suites by Radisson is a part of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, which also includes Quorvus Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson RED, Park Plaza and Park Inn by Radisson. The consumer-facing changes will be made in stages throughout the first half of 2018. Changes will include a new visual identity, updated logo and refreshed marketing and hotel collateral.
