Data protection - The inside track
So you thought you’d got to grips with Data Protection? The upcoming new Regulations significantly change many of the approaches you currently take for granted.

Known as GDPR, the legislation on data use and marketing communication really will impact on how you communicate with customers and clients – and of course how they contact you.

And the fines go up too – from £500,000 maximum at the moment to100m Euros or 4% your global income!

If that’s set you thinking, then join us for the latest update on what’s happening, when this all starts and the changes you’ll have to make to the way you use personal information.

All these areas will be covered by our expert speaker Lesley Tadgell-Foster, in this M&IT Masterclass: Data Protection - The Inside Track, on Friday 29th January at The Mermaid Conference & Events Centre, Puddle Dock, Blackfriars, London, EC4V 3DB

Target audience:

corporate, association, agency event organisers and event suppliers.

Health Safety and Risk Assessment for the Events Industry

Win or lose business, your risk management processes (or lack of them) could do just that!

The Health & Safety (Offences) Act 2008, raised the maximum penalties and significantly increases powers to imprison.

In the current litigious climate and after the Corporate Manslaughter Act was announced, assessing and managing risks has become an absolute necessity for event organisers and venues.

Health, safety and risk management are now recognised as crucial aspects in the successful management of conferences, exhibitions and events. However, they are also surrounded by an aura of mystique and many organisers, unsure of all the legal requirements and ramifications, approach them with a mixture of trepidation and bewilderment. Some opt to ignore them altogether, keeping fingers crossed that accidents and crises will not occur.

Target audience:

corporate, association and agency event organisers.
