Holiday Inn’s marketing campaign ‘Stay Marketing’, which reached 2.8 million people via its PR operation, fought off stiff competition at this year’s Hotel Marketing Association Awards to win Best Agency Promotion or Campaign of the Year 2011.
Since the campaign’s launch – devised by Law Creative and utilising a number of mediums to raise awareness of the group’s meetings and conference facilities across the UK – more than 6,700 visits have been made to its website and Holiday Inn has reported a sharp increase in bookings for these services.
David Collyer, marketing manager at InterContinental Hotel Group’s (IHG) UK and Ireland (UK&I) Managed Estate, which owns Holiday Inn, said: “Since the campaign launched we have seen a sharp increase in meeting and events bookings which has come as a direct result of the great work of the integrated campaign, and delivery by our teams on the ground. Holiday Inn is a world class venue for meetings and events, we are constantly innovating and developing every aspect of our meetings and events offering and the campaign has been a great way to communicate this. Holiday Inn acknowledges how important a successful meeting is to a business and the company’s ‘Your Meeting, Your Way’ commitment is designed to help businesses get the most from their meetings.”
IHG’s UK&I Managed Estate is also celebrating success after 14 of its UK Holiday Inn and Crown Plaza sites gained AIM accreditation, with the hotels achieving an average pass rate of 93 per cent in AIM’s quality checks, significantly higher than 65 per cent prerequisite.
