Motivation Month provides tips on getting the best from hotels

London & Partners’ Motivation Month – a PR programme promoting London as a business and incentive destination – has launched a series of tips ahead of an event to be held at the Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel. 



Taking place on 23 February the event, titled Mission Motivation, is free to attend and will include team building concepts created by motivational experts Motivaction and conclude with refreshments and chat. 



Below is the first set of tips to come from Motivation Month, focusing on how to get the best from hotels:



1. As an organiser, make sure that the hotel is fully aware of the nature of your event and your own expectations in terms of the experience you want your delegates to receive. Often the hotel is not briefed fully in this regard. 



2. Hotels are able to provide many 'small value adds' to make the delegate experience more memorable e.g. arrange for the hotel to extend a 'team meet and greet' on arrival i.e. line up at the front door and welcome them all - this works wonders and does not cost any extra.



 3. Spend time to brainstorm ideas with the hotel co-ordination team on what attractions there are in the immediate hotel location area - often this can lead to some really unique activities at an affordable price as it is likely to be within walking distance. This will involve the hotel from the start too and make sure they are fully prepared for your event.
