International Confex signs education deal with PCMA

The Professional Convention Management Association will lead senior-level corporate education at Confex
21/08/2012

International Confex has signed a deal with the Chicago-based Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) that will see PCMA deliver a daily programme of senior-level corporate education during next year’s Confex show at ExCeL London (March 19-21).

The strategic partnership comes in the wake of PCMA’s recent inaugural Global Corporate Summit (July 22-26 in
Glasgow), which brought together leading international meeting and event planners from such companies as Nike, McDonald’s, Microsoft and Cisco.

Sherrif Karamat, PCMA chief operating officer, said: “The UK is an important market for our association and it’s clear there is a desire and need for PCMA’s tools, resources and education. International Confex is the perfect forum for us to engage with this important audience.”

James Samuel, International Confex event manager, added: “We are delighted to announce this special strategic relationship. PCMA has an outstanding reputation for the quality of education they provide for senior meeting and event planners, and we’re thrilled to be bringing their content to our show and attendees.”
